Release of PEPPOL AS2 v.1.2 specification and PEPPOL Policy for use of identifiers v.4

The OpenPEPPOL eDelivery Change Management Board (TICC CMB) is pleased to announce the release of two important documents:

The most important change in the AS2 v.1.2 specification is that it introduces the use of SHA256 to improve security in the PEPPOL eDelivery Network.

Please be reminded that the date when use of SHA256 becomes mandatory will be communicated shortly since the AS2 v.1.2 specification is not backwards compatible with the previous version.

It also allows for a specified range of ports to be used, which aligns better with the PEPPOL AS4 profile.

The PEPPOL Policy for use of identifiers deals with the introduction of BIS3 in the PEPPOL eDelivery Network.

Both documents can be found on:

On behalf of OpenPEPPOL and the eDelivery CMB, I would like to thank everyone involved for their efforts.
